Travel Requirements and Resources
Visitors entering Canada must present a valid passport and, in most cases, a visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). The Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) is mandatory for visa-exempt foreign nationals who fly to Canada. Exceptions include U.S. citizens and travelers with a valid visa. Before entering Canada, all visitors are responsible for ensuring that they have the required documents necessary, whether they are travelling through to another country or returning to their country of origin. For the complete details, visit Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
American citizens, including American-Canadian citizens, must carry proper identification and meet the basic requirements to enter Canada. You do not need a Canadian passport, a Canadian visa or an eTA to enter Canada if you are travelling with a valid U.S. passport. Learn more.
As of September 1, the processing time for a passport is 17+ weeks. Learn about the steps for how to apply for or renew your U.S. passport.
As of February 29, 2024, Mexican citizens traveling to Canada will need to meet new requirements to travel to Canada. Mexican citizens who hold a valid US non-immigrant visa or have held a Canadian visa in the past 10 years and are travelling by air on a Mexican passport will be able to apply for a new electronic travel authorization (eTA). With the high number of Mexican citizens currently holding US visas, the majority will continue to enjoy visa-free travel to Canada. Those who do not meet these conditions will need to apply for a Canadian visitor visa.

Health and Wellness Resources
We take your health and safety seriously and are committed to providing a safe environment for all participants of the 2024 Sustainable Protein Forum. As COVID-19 restrictions have eased, AOCS recommends attendees do what is best for their health and take precautions as necessary.
To promote the health and wellness of everyone at the event, AOCS will continue to monitor any guidance and requirements from all Canadian authorities. By registering to attend the 2024 Sustainable Protein Forum, you are agreeing to abide by all applicable COVID-19-related requirements, advisories, policies, procedures, and protocols.
We will offer optional masks and will have hand sanitizer available. We will also have a supply of rapid tests available free of charge onsite and strongly encourage participants to test should they feel unwell at any point during the meeting. Currently, Canadian authorities do not require masks to be worn and will not check vaccination status of individual attendees.
AOCS recommends that all participants be current with their COVID-19 vaccines, but it is not a requirement to attend.
